Application:

PVP is soluble in water and some commonly used organic solvents, making it usable in many situations. For hydrophobic drugs, the aqueous solution can be uniformly wetted, and the surface of the drug particles can have an affinity. Water is beneficial to increase the dissolution of the drug. In addition, PVP can be added as a dry powder as a binder, and it can be used for wet granulation with a suitable solvent or as a dry binder for direct compression to improve the peeling phenomenon of hydrophobic drugs. Commonly used K30 and K25, the dosage of PVPK30 is generally 2%-5%.

In the use of an effervescent agent, PVP is an ideal adhesive, because the effervescent agent requires strict control of the moisture content, using PVP ethanol solution as an adhesive can solve this problem well. The effervescent tablet particles thus made are good in disgust, dissolve quickly, and can foam strongly. Using about 5%-10% PVP solution as a binder can also be used for fluidized bed spray drying granulation.
